Our History

From a private campground in 1970 to the thriving residential community it is today, Coast Village has over five decades of stories, milestones, and community spirit.

1970
Coast Village Campground is created as a private campground, owned by Bohemia Lumber Company. Lot sales begin and the first CC&Rs are established.
1988
Eight community members formulate plans to purchase the common areas and form the Coast Village Campground Property Owners Corporation (CVCPOC).
1992
CVCPOC is renamed to CVPOC — 'Campground' is officially dropped from the name. The Coast Village logo is approved.
2015
A Park Operations Manager is hired, relieving the volunteer President from daily operations.
2023
The community votes to replace the original Coast Village logo with a new design at the Annual Meeting.
